What courts are available?

Newport Racquet Club offers two court experiences:

  • Ground-Level Courts – Complimentary courts available by reservation, subject to daily booking limits.
  • Rooftop Courts – Premium courts available for a fee, with reservation lengths and pricing displayed during booking.

What are your hours?

Court hours vary seasonally. All courts close at dusk. Please plan to finish play and check out before sunset, as court lighting is limited.

Is parking available?

Yes. Public street parking and pay-to-access parking garages are available nearby.

Are restrooms available?

Yes. Restrooms are located next to the check-in desk. Shower facilities are not available.

Is the facility ADA accessible?

Yes. The facility includes ramps and elevator access. Please speak with our staff if you require assistance.

How do I reserve a court?

All court reservations must be made online through our booking platform.

Do you allow walk-ins?

Yes. Walk-in play may be available if courts are open, but availability is not guaranteed.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your scheduled reservation time to allow for check-in.

What happens if I arrive late?

A 15-minute grace period is provided for all reservations. After 15 minutes, the court may be released to other players.

Is a waiver required?

Yes. All players must have a signed waiver on file before accessing the courts. Waivers may be completed online or during check-in.

What happens if I miss my reservation?

We enforce a three-strike no-show policy. Repeated no-shows may result in temporary or permanent suspension of booking privileges.

Can I modify my reservation?

Yes. Reservations can be modified through the booking platform. Select the “Info & Help” option within your reservation to reschedule.

Can I cancel my reservation?

Cancellation policies vary by court type and are outlined during the booking process.

How long can I play?

Ground-Level Courts

  • Complimentary one-hour reservations are available once per day per player.

Rooftop Courts

  • Reservation lengths vary and are displayed during the booking process.

Can I book back-to-back reservations?

Ground-Level Courts

  • No. To ensure fair access for all players, consecutive bookings by the same player or group are not permitted.

Rooftop Courts

  • Yes. Additional time may be reserved, subject to availability.

Can I extend my court time?

Court time may only be extended if additional courts or reservation slots are available. All extensions must be booked through the reservation platform.

Can I use an open court next to mine?

No. Each court requires its own reservation and may not be used without a confirmed booking.

What should I wear?

Athletic attire and non-marking court shoes are required while playing.

Can I bring food, pets, or alcohol?

Food, alcohol, smoking, and vaping are prohibited on the courts. Bottled water in non-glass containers is permitted. Pets are not allowed within the court areas.

Are spectators allowed?

Yes. Spectators are welcome in designated viewing and seating areas.

Are children allowed to play?

Yes. Players under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian complete a waiver before participating.

What happens if it rains?

If weather conditions require court closures, affected reservations will be canceled and players will be notified by email. Refunds or account credits will be issued automatically.

Can I play if the courts are wet?

No. For player safety and to protect the court surfaces, play is not permitted on wet courts.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?

You’re welcome to bring your own equipment. Paddle rentals are available for $5 per paddle, and a valid photo ID is required during the rental period. Pickleballs are provided at no additional charge.

Do you offer lessons or clinics?

Yes. We offer:

  • Private lessons
  • Adult group clinics (4:1 player-to-coach ratio)
  • Weekend youth classes

Can I bring my own coach?

No. Instruction is limited to coaches approved by Newport Racquet Club. If you are a teaching professional interested in joining our coaching roster, please contact us for more information.
